Born from Three Unanswered Stories ‍

Our Mission: The Jack & Jill Rosenthal Foundation is dedicated to bringing hope and answers to families of missing and unidentified children by partnering with law enforcement, applying advanced investigative techniques, and mobilizing the public in the search for truth and identity.

The Jack & Jill Rosenthal Foundation for Missing and Unidentified Children was born from three missing children whose cases were forgotten. In 1964, infant Paul Joseph Fronczak was abducted from a Chicago hospital by a woman posing as a nurse, launching one of the nation's most enduring missing child investigations. In 2012, DNA revealed that the child raised as Paul was actually Jack Thomas Rosenthal, a child who had been abandoned and whose true identity remained hidden for nearly fifty years. Jack's search for his past uncovered an even more heartbreaking truth—he had been born with a twin sister, Jill Lynn Rosenthal, who disappeared as a young child and has never been found.

These three children—Paul, Jack, and Jill—each represent a different chapter in a story of loss, resilience, and hope. Their journeys inspired the creation of this Foundation and continue to guide its mission.

Today, we work alongside families, law enforcement, researchers, and communities to support missing and unidentified children's cold case investigations, advance cold case efforts, and ensure that no child is forgotten and no family loses hope.
